REMSA Paramedic Program
The REMSA Paramedic Program has an
impressive track record of producing highly competent, entry-level
paramedics that function effectively in a wide variety of prehospital
settings. We are equally proud of our low student attrition rate (85.3% pass
rate) and the successes of our past students.
We have entered into an exciting
partnership with the University of Nevada, Reno College of Extended Studies
to provide you with much more than a paramedic program. We are now offering
a Paramedic Management Certificate Program. The goal is to give our
paramedic students key education and skills that allow your career as a
paramedic to expand.
REMSA provides
Northern Nevada’s only vocational Paramedic Program. This program is for the
student who desires vocational education with the career goal to become an
Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic. All phases of the program, didactic,
clinical and field practicum are provided for the student within the
Reno-Sparks area.
Each year REMSA
provides two Paramedic Programs. One Paramedic Program starts in July, the
other in January. Up to 30 students begin an intensive 12-month course of
study leading to a certificate of completion and eligibility to take the
NREMT-P written and practical exams. The application and admission process
is extremely competitive. REMSA offers the highest quality applicants the
opportunity to attend. Top performers are considered for employment in the
REMSA and SEMSA systems and future career opportunities with Care Flight.
