Important Dates

The REMSA Paramedic Program is offered two times a year. One Cohort starts in January and the other in July. Below is list of dates for the next class offered.

Paramedic Program Schedule

Orientation and Testing Sessions

All applicants must attend one of the following orientation and testing sessions. There is a one hour orientation explaining the paramedic job description and course details. Following the orientation participants will be eligible to participate in the testing process. Applicants will take H.O.B.E.T and EMT-B examinations. A non-refundable $40.00 testing fee is required to process applicants tests. Plan for approximately four hours.

  • April 15th, 10:00 am
  • April 16th, 6:00 pm
  • April 17th, 10:00 am
  • April 18th, 6:00 pm
  • April 19th, 10:00 am
Deadline for Completed Applications

Applications will be distributed during the orientation and testing sessions. Applications are due postmarked or received by the below time.
  • April 28th, by 5:00 pm

Oral Interviews

After receipt of your completed applications you will be contacted to schedule an oral interview. It is important the applicant make themselves available for both days of interviews to allow flexible scheduling.

  • May 5th and 6th

Notifications and Acceptance

Notifications will be made by mail. The applicants must return the enclosed acceptance letter by stated date to enroll on the course.

  • Notifications Mailed: May 10th

  • Acceptance Letters must be received by: May 23rd by 5:00 pm

Class Schedule

  • Didactic Begins:  July 15th

  • Clinical Begins: January 4th, 2009

  • Field Internship Begins: April 6th, 2009
