2014 Running Red for Heart – Part 1

It’s Back…Running Red for Heart 5K is back and is now part one in a series of two runs offered by REMSA throughout the year that benefit the American Heart Association.  This years run will include a Health Expo during packet pick-up on Friday night from 3:00 to 7:00 PM in the Scheels training rooms.  Vendors including local hospitals, fitness facilities, and other heart health related organizations will be on-hand to share the latest in heart healthy living.

Come out and support women in the fight against heart disease and stroke by running in your favorite red dress, tutu, or other red running gear in the second annual Running Red for Heart 5K. The run will start at Scheels and all proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association in their fight to reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases.

Awards for the top finishing female and male runners as well as the best dressed will be presented following the run. The first 50 runners will be entered into a drawing for a $50.00 Scheels gift card.  Don’t wait to register…that will buy a lot of red running gear!

The run starts at 8:00 am in front of Scheels and travels through parts of Sparks and back to Scheels.  All participants are encouraged to come out in your best red running outfit to show their support for the American Heart Association during Go Red for Women month.
