Course Description

Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) is an education program sponsored of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT). The program is endorsed by the National Association of EMS Physicians (NAEMSP). This program is for all levels of healthcare practitioners committed to providing quality care for patients in medical crisis. It emphasizes using scene size up, interactive group discussion on potential treatment strategies, history, and probabilities in diagnosing a patient's medical problem. AMLS implements an initial assessment-based approach that progresses to a diagnostic-based approach to develop a treatment plan for a specific medical condition. AMLS is a sixteen (16) hour, two-day program. Students who successfully complete the AMLS course will receive a certificate of completion that is valid for four years.
